Over the Easter weekend, Nillumbik Leisure held its annual Good Friday Appeal fundraiser, proudly raising $6,482 for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal through a fun‑filled, family‑friendly morning.
The Good Friday Appeal supports the Royal Children’s Hospital to deliver world‑class care for sick children and their families across Victoria.
On Good Friday, the community came together at Eltham Leisure Centre, Diamond Creek Community Centre, and Diamond Valley Sports and Fitness Centre to enjoy a range of family‑friendly activities.
These activities included:
- Group fitness classes
- An Easter egg hunt
- Face painting
- Pool activities
- Casual shooting and Jumpshots sessions
As a result, families were able to enjoy the holiday while contributing to an important cause.
All staff generously donated their time on the public holiday. Funds raised through entry fees and raffle ticket sales were donated directly to the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Proceeds from the Nillumbik Leisure Good Friday Appeal fundraiser will support:
- Ground‑breaking medical research
- State‑of‑the‑art equipment and technology
- Patient‑ and family‑centred care programs
- Staff education, scholarships and fellowships
