The entire staff team at your Eltham Leisure Centre will be undertaking their annual emergency management and evacuation training workshop on Sunday 21st July, 2024.
To ensure all team members can be involved and have 100% focus on the sessions the Centre is closed to the public from 6.00pm, with the Aquatics hall closing at 5.30pm.
24-7 gym access will also be unavailable from 6.00pm – 8.00pm with eligible membership holders able to access Diamond Valley Sports and Fitness Centre and Diamond Creek Community Centre.
Training sessions such as this are required to be completed as outlined in the guidelines and codes of practice within the aquatic and recreation industry. To ensure we can keep our members and guests safe in the event of a real life scenario it is important we have the chance to put our emergency management systems to the test in a controlled environment. Focusing on each area of the venue; the team will run through a series of emergency scenarios that involve mock evacuations, reviews and feedback sessions.
It is important we provide the space for these vital workshops and whilst we understand some of our members and guests may be impacted by this closure; we have chosen a time and day that would minimize this impact.
