On Sunday, May 18, 2025, Nillumbik Leisure proudly hosted the United Minds Fundraiser Walk, raising $500 to help fund vital mental health services through United Minds Community Services.
The event brought the community together for a 7km walk along the Diamond Creek Trail, starting at Nillumbik Park and heading towards Wattle Glen before looping back. The walk promoted mental health awareness, fitness, and community connection in a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere.
The morning saw a fantastic turnout of families, kids, prams, and even a few leashed dogs, all contributing to a day filled with positive energy and purpose. Despite limited parking and nearby construction, the community’s support was strong, and the event ran smoothly.
United Minds, a Diamond Creek-based charity, offers affordable and accessible mental health care across Melbourne’s north and northeast. All profits from their private clinic go directly into subsidised services for individuals and families who need it most. The $500 raised through this event will help expand these critical supports.
Nillumbik Leisure is proud to stand alongside United Minds in fostering a healthier, more resilient community. A huge thank-you goes out to everyone who took part, donated, and helped spread awareness for a great cause.
Together, we’re walking toward better mental health for all.
